Files up to 5GB — encrypted end to end

Send Large Files Securely

Skip the 25MB email limit and the risky public cloud link. Send files up to 5GB with end-to-end encryption, password protection, and links that expire on your schedule.

Why large files break every “normal” method

The tools most people reach for were never built to move big files safely.

Email attachments hit a wall

Most email providers cap attachments at 20–25MB. A single design file, video, or dataset bounces back before it ever reaches your recipient.

Public cloud links leak

Consumer "share link" features often default to "anyone with the link." One forward, one screenshot, and your large file is exposed indefinitely — with no expiration.

Compression destroys quality

Zipping and splitting large files to squeeze past size limits is slow, error-prone, and strips the fidelity out of video, audio, and design assets.

Built to move big files without the risk

Every large transfer gets the same zero-trust protection as everything else on CipherSend.

Files up to 5GB

Send a single file up to 5GB on Premium — no splitting, no compression, no quality loss. Free accounts send up to 100MB per file.

AES-256 encryption

Every large file is encrypted with AES-256 and stays encrypted at rest. We never store your file in plaintext.

Auto-expiring links

Set your download link to expire from 1 hour up to 30 days. Once it lapses, the file is unreachable — no lingering public URLs.

Password protection

Add an optional password to any large-file share. Even if the link is intercepted, the file stays locked.

The large-file difference

  • Stored unencrypted, sometimes forever

CipherSend

  • Single files up to 5GB, no compression
  • Private links scoped to your recipient
  • Auto-expiring, revocable at any time
  • AES-256 encrypted at rest, always

Sending large files — your questions answered

Everything you need to know about moving big files safely with CipherSend.

How large a file can I send with CipherSend?

Premium accounts can send a single file up to 5GB. Free accounts can send files up to 100MB each. Files are never compressed, so quality is preserved exactly.

Why can’t I just email a large file?

Most email providers reject attachments larger than 20–25MB. Even when a large file does go through, it sits unencrypted in multiple mailboxes indefinitely, with no way to expire or revoke it.

Are large files encrypted the same way as small ones?

Yes. Every file, regardless of size, is encrypted with AES-256 and stays encrypted at rest. Only someone with the download link — and password, if you set one — can open it.

Does my recipient need an account to download a large file?

No. Recipients receive an email with a secure download link and can retrieve the file without creating a CipherSend account.

Can a large-file link expire automatically?

Yes. Set expiration anywhere from 1 hour up to 30 days on Premium. Once the link expires, the file can no longer be downloaded.

Ready to send your first large file?
